What we do
Touchstone Advisors is a mergers and acquisitions (M&A) firm that advises the owners of small and midsize companies ($2 million to $20 million in revenue) seeking to sell their business. We work primarily with manufacturing, distribution, and companies that provide services to other businesses.
Unlike main street business brokers, we are able to maximize the price for companies we sell by marketing them regionally, nationally, and to strategic and synergistic buyers. By design, our team oriented sales process places those buyers in competition with one another in order to obtain a premium for the business in addition to its "financial" value.

Why we do it
I grew up in a family business working alongside my father and three brothers. My twelve years as a practicing attorney were spent working primarily with business owners. As Director of the Center for Family Business at the University of New Haven, I produced programs and consulted on issues such as succession planning, sibling rivalry, and conflict between generations.
People who have labored for many years to grow a privately held business are the backbone of our economy and as a group, our largest employer.
